If you like survival games you cannot go wrong with this one. The graphics are very well done and price is ok also.

An original idea for a survival game, unfortunately of surprising relevance in the present day. Masterfully executed with smart game mechanics, an atmosphere that draws you in right away and almost limitless replayability. One of the few games that require clever planning, good judgement and, sometimes, a little ruthlessness or a touch of compassion. Trouble is, choosing between those last two might make the difference between survival and death - choose wisely.

Version 1.2.5 still keeps crashing whenever I try to revisit a scavanging place I went to once before… Im obsessed with the game, but the constant crashes are a real pain. Pleassse fix it!!!!

This is a very original game with an excellent concept. The true, human side of war; which in this day and age is something I think we need to think more about. The game is moody and heavy (bordering on depressing, but what else would you expect), but doesn’t feel preachy. Hardcore survival. I’ve just been playing for a couple hours and am completely hooked. I just got Pavel shot by a sniper and I really hope he pulls through; he’s my best scavenger! The game runs just great. The gameplay is simple yet satisfying, and I don’t have a single complaint of yet. I highly reccomend this for anyone who likes strategy games.

This War of Mine is a stragety survival game centered around a fictionial war. Instead of playing as an elite soilder, you play as a survivor. This adds an interesting view on it. Instead of mowing down hundreds of random guys with guns, you find yourself scavenging throughout the night to avoid sniper fire. You can craft a wide variety of different items, from bed so your survivors sleep better to tobbaco to trade for other things. The game is mostly randomized, having almost each playthrough start you with different characters, which can be anywhere from 2 to 4 characters. They all have different skills, meaning that you have to use those to your advantage (Big backpack, good cook, good builder, etc) instead of just sending out everyone to do whatever. The map is also randomized, with there being around two dozen different areas. There is usually two or three ways in which you enter the map, and multiple things that can happen inside. Guns and tools are in need of constant repair, which means that you may have to use melee weapons to get around people. Stealth is sound and sight based, so running generates more sound then sneaking. Overall this game is amazing, and now one of my favourite games. 98/100

I bought this game after reading all of the raves about 1.2 - new starting location, being able to choose your starting characters, etc. Unfortunately I didn’t look super closely in the app store that version 1.0.2 is available while 1.2 is only available on Steam… gah! Who expects the app store version to be 2 releases behind?? PLEASE get 1.2 on the app store; 1.0.2 is too buggy (crashing, etc.).

This game is awesome, I just wish update 1.2 was here sooner!

I am sorrly disapointed that there is not as many game play options as there is on steam.. It is buggy and slow as well and my characters go the wrong directions or go somewhere else.. Clicking should be simple… I feel i got ripped off… On STEAM you pay 20.00 and get more game play modes i got one game play option?? How is that fair?? I paiud the dame price and got a 1/4 of the game… Where on STEAM you pay the same price and get a tone of differnt game play begining options… I am disappointed I want more of the game and i want it to be like the STEAM one..

New version crashes all the time. Dont upgrade.

The game is very world building. The challenges between getting enough supplies, helping your neighbours and keeping your group alive feel very real. However, the gameplay lacks complexity after you get used to it, and doesn’t seem to evolve with your progresss. There are few “new” challenges, and the skills of your party don’t evolve. As well, the game is still buggy and crashes regularly and predictably.

i cant even see my cursor… that is a real shame its a great game dont get me wrong but that just me lets me know if u have the same problem?

This war of mine is truly awesome and addicting. The atmosphere soon gets you locked right into the game, and you will likely play for hours before stopping. Another thing I wanted to point out is that the system requirements listed on the app store and anywhere else is a “lie”. The game stated that you need 512mb minimal VRAM but in reality however the minimal VRAM requirement seems to be 128mb. And also this game is also avaliabe on IOS so there’s absolutly no way that a Mac would lack the processing power to run it. And also don’t let the graphical requirment scare you. I can run the game smoothly and with maxed settings with the Intel Iris 5100 intergrated card. BUY THIS GAME! You wouldn’t regrat it.

Before you buy this game look online at all the people who have complained that it has been crashing. The directions that they give you to track the issue does not even work. The first time I actually feel like I waisted money on this game. It worked for about 3 days.

The most depressing game I’ve ever played. My depressing life is better than this game. I guess that this is the positive point.

Exactly like what it is said in the description. I stayed there all the afternoon playing this game. It is very intense and once you made a choice there is no way to be back. The person who died is died, the stuff you lost is lost. Very cruel but real. I wont recommend for people who currently have a depression to play. But the game is worth the price

A very original game on a somewhat topical theme, given the recent geopolitical events unfolding in the world. Not an uplifting game, actually rather depressing to play, but nonetheless it makes you think about things. As you are more likely to get stuck in a situation as depicted in this game, rather than someone who is a member of elite military force attempting to hit enemies with a single head-shot half a mile away, you may consider this to be an educational software. I noticed some bugs but none that crashes the game. Some of the bugs are helpful - go to the garage where you can barter enormous amount of goods with just one medical item, but I hear that these have been ironed out in the latest version. Rather difficult to see the graphics on my 11 inch MBA, but playing it on a larger screen you can appreciate the level of visual detail contained in this game. A brilillant game concept, and on the whole, a well programmed piece of software that does not need an online connection to play.
