An acquired taste?
First of all, it’s not for everyone and one must be patient to learn the actual strategies for survival… it can be quite frustrating and somber.
It is immersive, but in a dark way with hunger and sadness the major “players”… along with sickness.
That said, one must constantly be marshalling the resources available to best advantage, keep tabs on all group members… and have a good plan for each day’s activities… and more importantly, each night’s… which helps relieve the angst.
I finally survived through the brutal WInter in my 3rd atttempt… but the game has no tutorial, so it’s learning by intuition and hoping for the best.
I find i need to take a break from the game… it’s rather emotionally draining.
